On Creativity, Consistency, and Connection – Featured in CanvasRebel
I recently had the honor of sitting down with CanvasRebel to talk about my path as an artist, and I wanted to share a quick summary for anyone curious about the heart of that conversation.

Learning My Craft
My journey started young, but things shifted when I began seriously studying painting as a teen. Like going to the gym, showing up consistently in the studio helped me grow. Exploration—different styles, time limits, painting outside—became a key part of developing my voice.
The Work I Make Now
I’m a visual storyteller working in oil, drawn to realism mixed with raw texture. My paintings often carry quiet tension—beauty layered with symbolism and emotional depth. Each piece aims to be more than aesthetic—but instead a conversation that invites you in.
Staying Inspired
Consistency is always the challenge, but I’ve built a studio space that helps me return to creative flow: open windows, records playing, inspiration on the walls. That atmosphere helps keep the spark alive!
Why It Matters
I create work to connect. Whether it's a sense of quiet, resilience, contradiction, or personal reflection—my hope is that each piece invites you to feel something. The emotional resonance is the biggest reward, personally.
How to Support Artists
Follow your local artists! Share their work. Visit shows. Commission pieces. Ask about prints. Collaborate. Even a simple message, like, or comment online goes a long way. Artists thrive when communities show up with intention.
A huge thanks to CanvasRebel for the feature, and thank you to everyone who has supported my work and my journey. Lots of love, Liz
