Storms Over Arizona
20×24”
Oil on canvas
While flying over Arizona on my way home to San Diego, I witnessed one of the most beautiful airplane-window landscapes: a storm rolling over the desert at dusk. After snapping several photos I know I had to take this stunning scene to my easel. This motif of storms rolling over a landscape has been used throughout art history (my favorite by Thomas Moran), and often symbolizes change, new beginnings and the power of nature.
And just as the painting implies, this work is part of my studio sale to help create room for growth for my new work!
